The Problem
COCOSOLIS, a fast-growing brand in a highly competitive beauty niche on Amazon, was struggling to stand out against its competitors.
While they attempted to use Amazon advertising to capture the top search positions, the campaigns they managed themselves were inefficient, resulting in a very high ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales).
Despite their best efforts, the ad spend was not generating the desired returns, and there were numerous missed opportunities within their ad account.
Many of the campaigns were poorly structured, with ad groups containing too many keywords, which diluted the impact of the best-performing ones.
This inefficiency not only wasted ad spend but also hindered their ability to scale profitably.
The brand needed to reduce ACOS and achieve a profitable TACOS (Total Advertising Cost of Sales) to unlock sustainable growth.
The Solution
Once Olifant came on board, our Amazon marketing team conducted a thorough audit of the COCOSOLIS ad account and quickly developed a tailored marketing plan to revamp the brand’s approach.
The first step was optimizing their existing PPC campaigns. We discovered that many ad groups were overloaded with 50+ keywords, which prevented the best-converting keywords from receiving the necessary ad spend.
We restructured these campaigns, focusing on fewer, more targeted keywords for each ASIN in sponsored product ads.
This allowed the best-performing keywords to take center stage, leading to higher efficiency and more conversions.
Another significant opportunity that had been overlooked was the use of video ads. We leveraged video ads for the highest-converting keywords in sponsored product campaigns.
As soon as these campaigns were launched, they quickly became the best-sellers, delivering the highest ROI for the brand.
Recognizing that much of COCOSOLIS’s revenue was coming from PPC, we dived deeper into keyword research and listing optimization.
By refining all ASINs with more relevant, high-traffic keywords and enhancing product images for better conversion rates, we maximized the potential of each listing.
Additionally, we worked closely with the COCOSOLIS team, educating them on advertising best practices and optimization techniques.
